About Ashleigh

Ashleigh Rajala is an award-winning writer whose work has been published in numerous journals, both online and in print. With a degree in Literature, and further studies in both Film Arts and Writing & Publishing, she has extensive experience writing and editing for a diversity of projects, both mainstream and independent.

Past incarnations of hers include filmmaker, zinester, bookseller, wayward traveller and commune-dweller, while currently she works in social planning, helping the team address issues such as poverty reduction, immigrant and refugee integration, anti-racism initiatives, supporting Indigenous leaders, and more.

Currently at work on a novel, she lives in Surrey BC on the unceded traditional territory of the Coast Salish peoples.
